Telecom companies provide entertainment services complimentary with various recharge plans. Airtel, in particular, periodically offers free OTT subscriptions through different plans. They already offer free subscriptions to Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus Hotstar and have recently launched a new entertainment plan that includes a free Netflix basic subscription.
For Rs.1,499, users get unlimited 5G data, unlimited voice calls, and 3GB data with 100 SMS daily, valid for 84 days. The plan includes a free Netflix Basic subscription, allowing users to watch movies and shows on the platform. Users can enjoy unlimited data download and high-speed web browsing in areas where the Airtel 5G network is available.
Besides the entertainment services, the plan includes a free Apollo 24|7 Circle subscription to book appointments with doctors and order medicines. Users can also set custom phone ringtones with free Hellotunes and listen to millions of songs on the Wink Music app.
How to Claim Free Airtel Netflix Plan
To claim a Netflix subscription, Airtel users must open the Airtel Thanks app on their smartphones, go to the Discover Thanks Benefits section, look for the Netflix benefit, and click the ‘Claim’ button. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the Netflix subscription, which will be linked to the recharged mobile number and remain active for the full 84-day period.
It’s important to note that Netflix doesn’t offer a Basic plan to new users. However, Airtel customers who recharge with the Rs.1,499 plan can benefit from the Basic plan. This plan allows users to watch movies and shows in standard definition (SD) quality on a single device at a time, which is suitable for individual users. Buying Netflix separately may seem like a burden to many, so Airtel’s new recharge plan provides a convenient option for those who wish to enjoy Netflix.
