Here are general steps for customizing contact information on iOS:

Edit Contact Information

  1. Open the “Contacts” app on your iPhone.
  2. Find and select the contact you want to customize.
  3. Tap “Edit” in the top-right corner.
  4. Modify the contact details as needed.

Add or Change Contact Photo

  1. While editing a contact, tap the “Edit” button.
  2. Tap the placeholder for the contact photo.
  3. Choose a photo from your gallery or take a new one using the camera.

Assign Custom Ringtones

Still, you can assign a custom ringtone in the contact edit screen. Scroll down to find the “Ringtone” option and select the desired ringtone.

Create Custom Labels

You can add custom labels to phone numbers or other details by tapping “add field” while editing a contact.

How to Edit Your Contact Poster on iPhone

Once you’ve created your Contact Poster in iOS 17, you can easily edit it at any time. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Contacts app.
  2. Tap on your name at the top of the list.
  3. Tap on “Contact Photo & Poster.”
  4. Tap on “Edit” underneath your current Contact Poster.
  5. Now you have two options:
    1. Edit the current Contact Poster: Tap on “Customize” to edit the background image, name, details, font, colour, and accent colour. Just follow the same steps you did when creating your Contact Poster (see my previous response for details).
    2. Create a new Contact Poster: Tap on the “+” button to create a new Contact Poster from scratch. You can then choose a new background image, name, details, font, colour, and accent colour.
  6. When you’re finished editing your Contact Poster, tap on “Done.”

How to Swap Between Your Contact Posters

With iOS 17, you can now create multiple Contact Posters and easily switch between them. This allows you to personalize your contact information for different situations, such as work, family, or friends. Here’s how to swap between your Contact Posters:

  1. Open the Contacts app and tap your name at the top of the list.
  2. Tap on “Contact Photo & Poster.”
  3. You will see your current Contact Poster displayed. To switch to a different one, swipe left or right.
  4. The Contact Posters you created will be displayed here. When you find the one you want to use, tap on it.
  5. You will be returned to your contact card with your selected Contact Poster displayed.
