Reliance Jio recently introduced a new plan for its JioBharat Phone platform. The JioBharat platform was launched in the second half of 2023 to make 4G network access affordable for Indian customers, particularly those who prefer feature phones. Until recently, only two prepaid plans were available under the JioBharat platform, Rs 123 and Rs 1234. However, Jio has now introduced a new Rs 234 prepaid plan for its customers.
The Rs 234 plan has a service validity of 56 days and is specifically designed for use with JioBharat phones. This plan offers 0.5GB of daily data, meaning customers will receive 28 GB of Data. Users get free subscriptions to JioSaavn and JioCinema with their phone numbers. However, after the consumption of FUP data, the speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps. Note that JioCinema bundled with the plan is not the premium version.
The other two plans, worth Rs 123 and Rs 1234, are still available. The Rs 123 plan is valid for 28 days, while the Rs 1234 plan is valid for 336 days or around 11 months. The benefits of these plans are the same as those of the new Rs 234 plan, except for the validity duration.
It’s worth noting that since JioBharat phones are 4G enabled only, users will only be eligible for the 5G Welcome Offer with plans that cost Rs 239. The 5G Welcome Offer is only available for regular subscription plans over Rs 239.
