The Lava company has confirmed the launch date of the Lava O2 smartphone in India. The phone will be launched on March 22, and the event will be streamed live on the brand’s social media handles from noon onwards. The teaser also announces some other details about the device, including the chipset.
Amazon revealed that the Lava O2 smartphone will be available in Majestic Purple and Green colourways. It is powered by Unisoc T616 SoC processor, which includes two Cortex A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and a Mali G57 MP1 GPU. The teaser reveals that the smartphone has scored over 280,000 points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform.
Looking at the design and specifications details, the previous teaser confirmed that the device will have a centred punch hole cutout to house the selfie camera. Also, the rear houses large camera housings for two cameras, including a 50MP primary camera. The right side of this device houses the power button and volume rockers. The USB Type-C port, speaker grill, microphone and 3.5mm headphone jack are at the bottom of the device.
The smartphone is confirmed to support 18W fast charging along with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone will likely have a 6.5-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery, LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
