How to Stop Spam Calls?

All of us get calls about credit cards, insurance plans, new policies, how to upgrade our prepaid phone to a postpaid one, and what else we don’t want to talk about. These callers even try to break that good thing about me. Over the last few years, I have learned that no matter what you do, they always come back to you with full attention.

Telemarketing calls and other spam calls can become annoying after a certain point, but they can also be useful. There are times when this is very important, such as when you have a busy day or when you are waiting for an important call.

Sometimes, you also miss important calls because of spam calls. You may also be getting calls from people claiming to be from your bank, asking you for your account or credit card information in order to scam you into giving them your information.

Enabling DND on your Phone Number

By enabling DND on your number, you may prevent all spam calls and texts. Simply take these simple steps:

  1. On your phone, open the Messaging app.
  2. Create a new message and begin with the character START 0.
  3. It should be sent to 1909.
  4. Messages sent to 1909 are completely free, therefore there are no hidden fees.

Additionally, if you’d want to restrict calls from a certain category, such as Real Estate or Health, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new message and write START in the subject line.
  2. It should be sent to 1909.
  3. You will now be presented with a list of categories labelled with their respective numbers.
  4. Reply with the category Identifier for the category you want to block.

You can use DND Filters to STOP or Block Spam Calls Categories wide based on your interest.

Adding Numbers to your Phone’s Blocked list
