Reliance Jio launched Jio AirFiber services, a 5G Fixed-Wireless Access (FWA) network, in September 2023. Since then, the company has expanded these services to around 5352 cities/towns in India. This is great news for people who need help getting fibre services in their area, especially since the IPL is starting soon.
AirFiber does not require fibre in the area to provide high-speed internet services. As of March 2024, Jio AirFiber is available in 5352 cities/towns across the country, up from 3939 in January. The company plans to expand these services to more areas where they have deployed 5G SA (independent) networks.
Jio AirFiber offers plans starting at Rs. 599 per month. You can purchase these plans on a monthly basis or opt for a long-term validity option. The Rs. 599 per month plan (excluding GST) provides users with a speed of 30 Mbps and 1TB monthly data. There are also AirFiber Max plans that offer higher speeds, but they are more expensive.
It’s important to note that fibre is the better choice if your area has both fibre and AirFiber. JioFiber services can better meet your work and entertainment needs than an AirFiber connection. However, if fibre is not available in your area, an AirFiber connection is the best option for accessing high-speed internet services.
