How to Activate your Vi eSIM
Please note that Vi eSIM support is currently available limited regions of the country. before getting Vi eSIM advised to verify Vi eSIM support for your City or Region. Hence, you can only activate Vi eSIM if you are in these supported regions and possess a compatible device.
- To initiate the Vi eSIM activation process, you need to send an SMS message “eSIM <space> registered email ID” to 199.
- Upon receiving the message, you will receive a confirmation SMS message if your email ID is valid. You must reply to that message with “ESIMY” to confirm the eSIM request.
- If Vi finds the email ID invalid, they will send you another SMS message to re-initiate the process with the correct email ID.
- After confirming your request, Vi will call you to ask for your consent to activate the eSIM.
- Once you provide your consent, you will receive a final SMS message containing a QR code on your registered email ID.
- You must scan the QR code to add the eSIM to your phone. Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data while performing this step.

- Go to Settings, then Mobile Data, and select Add Data Plan.
- Now, scan the QR code you received via email and follow the on-screen instructions.

For Google Pixel phone users, here’s how to activate Vi eSIM:
- Click on Settings, then Network & Internet, then Mobile Network, and select Download a SIM instead.
